સાવ સૂક્કા અવસરની પાળે ઉગેલ એક ઘટનાની ડાળે અમે માળો કર્યો !
શમણા બનીને રોજ આવ્યાં કરે
કોઈ મુલકનાં પંખી અજાણ્યા;
જન્મારો આખો અમે સાથે ગાળ્યો
તોય એક્મેકને ના પિછાણ્યા.
તણખાને ટેકે અમે બેસી રહ્યા ને પેલા પાંદડાએ ખોટો હોબાળો કર્યો !

જગની વિશાળતાય વામણી પડે
એક માળાના ગોળ ગોળ ખાડે;
અવસર સૂક્કો ને તોય લીલો સંબંધ
રહ્યા તું ને હું થડિયાની આડે.
કેમે કરીને મૌન ભેગું કર્યું ને પેલા સ્મરણોના ટહુકાએ ચાળો કર્યો !
